"on immigration gop elites tell their base to pound sand." basically, he makes a point that there is this theme that republicans and arch conservatives in the republican party really care about cutting taxes on the rich, but when you study the tea party and the folks in the tea party, the thing they actually really care about is immigration. it's a big priority for them. they do not want to offer "amnesty" of any kind. ef
